CWCO Pitch Sessions

Pitch Session Registration Opens Jan 16, 2026.

Please read for details about the wonderful publishers and how pitch sessions work.

Pitch Sessions are Feb 9-12, 2026. Scroll down for the schedule. Schedule may change up until Jan 15. Keep checking back.

As with every CWCO, we offer attendees the chance to pitch your ready manuscripts to publishers of both secular and Catholic fiction and non-fiction.

Please read! In order to make the pitch sessions a productive experience for everyone, we ask the following of our writers:

DO NOT register to pitch a book that has been published in the past (including self-published).

  1. Pitch session opportunities are free for registered attendees.
  2. You cannot pitch a book that is self-published or already being considered by a publisher (i.e., they have your proposal or manuscript.)
  3. All pitched fiction must be complete and submission-ready.
  4. All pitched non-fiction should have a book proposal prepared.
  5. You MUST READ and FOLLOW publisher guidelines. The #1 reason for being rejected is that you are not pitching the kind of book they are interested in. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!
  6. Pitch sessions are held in via private webinar. You have a maximum 7 minutes to talk to the publisher. Please have a 150-word pitch ready for pasting. You may also want to write short (100-word or less) answers to common questions like qualifications, character, theme, marketing, etc.
  7. Pitch sessions are first-come/first-served. While we try to give everyone at least one slot (and preferably their first choice, we do not guarantee a pitch slot.
  8. We offer pitch training and practice Feb 2 & 3, 2026. We highly recommend you attend.
  9. Be certain about your choice. We charge $10 per change except when dealing with an emergency.

Publishers and Guidelines

Stay tuned for the publishers who are hearing pitches. We will be adding publishers until January 15, 2026. We will take pitch registrations from Jan 16 to Feb 1, 2026, via this form

To pitch, you need to have registered for the conference.

Chrism Press: NO CHILDREN/MG/YA. Adult fiction from Catholic and Orthodox Christian perspectives across all genres. We do NOT publish children’s or middle grade books. We will only consider YA if it can also appeal to adult audiences. We are not afraid of difficult or dark subject matter, but we do not publish profanity or graphic, “open-door” sex scenes.  https://chrismpress.com/submissions/

Dunham Literary Agent Anjanette Barr: Anjanette Barr is a literary agent, representing all genres and age categories – fiction and non-fiction. She specializes in books for the general market, but handles select religious books as well. At this time she is not looking for political non-fiction. You can learn more about her tastes here: https://www.dunhamlit.com/anjanette-barr

Elk Lake Publishing: All fiction for all age groups except for picture books, horror, and erotic. We do not like cozy Amish, but do like cozy mysteries. Most interested in mystery/suspense and speculative. Nonfiction that’s out of the ordinary or is covering a current felt need and can get me to read past the three chapters and want more. No devotionals, memoir, poetry, or cookbooks. Guidelines at https://elklakepublishinginc.com/#

En Route Books & Media: En Route seeks to promote the Catholic spiritual journey. We accept new, unsolicited book queries or submissions that concern Catholic themes in the areas of theology, spirituality, and literature. https://enroutebooksandmedia.com/contact-us/

Luminor: Needs and guidelines can be found at wordonfire.org/luminor.

Marian Press: NO SIMULTANEOUS PITCHES. Marian Press serves the charism of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception, publishing primarily on the history and spirituality of the Marian Fathers, Divine Mercy, Mary Immaculate, and the Holy Souls in Purgatory. Our target audience is the ordinary Catholics in the pews or the common man. Note: No poetry. Fiction is rarely, if ever, accepted. https://www.marian.org/marian-press/author-guidelines

Pauline Books & Media (Adults): Pauline Books & Media are looking for high-quality, trustworthy Catholic manuscripts that respond to the real needs of Catholic families and adults with the hope of the Gospel. We specifically are seeking manuscripts that invite people into a deeper and more dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ and his Church. I am an editor for our titles for adult Catholics: individuals, single, parents, grandparents, young adults, so those are the pitches I would want to hear. (Our Children’s Editors will listen to pitches for children’s materials.) Our submission guidelines are here: https://pauline.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/2024-Pauline-Books-and-Media-Submissions-Guidelines.pdf

Pauline Books & Media (Children): For kids and teens, we publish fiction and nonfiction in the areas of saints, prayer, spirituality, Scripture, and catechetical topics. In fiction we look for compelling stories with complex, well-developed characters, and distinctive Catholic elements integral to the story. Our nonfiction seeks to teach the Catholic faith in a way that evokes wonder and brings young people into a relationship with God and the Church.
Guidelines can be found: www.pauline.org/publishing

Rosenkranz Literary Agency (Rita Rosenkranz): My list is almost exclusively adult non-fiction, representing a wide range of topics. www.ritarosenkranzliteraryagency.com
